Decline Hammer Curl Bar Pullovers

Sadly your gym may not have the equipment needed for this exercise (hammer curl bar) but Hammer Pullovers are an excellent way to finish off the lats.

  1. Start the exercise by laying back on a decline bench. Using a hammer curl bar (also called a triceps bar) allow your slightly bent arms to stretch backwards until you get a complete stretch in the lats.
  2. In this position, pull the weight back upward with a wide range of motion. Pause when the bar is directly over your pecs for a peak contraction.
  3. Now slowly lower back to the starting position.
